More than 225 figure skaters from across Newfoundland and Labrador will compete at the Skate NL 2026 Skating Championships (Weekend 2) being held from February
Skate NL is the Provincial Sport Organization (PSO) for figure skating in Newfoundland and Labrador and is a proud member of Skate Canada. With a rich legacy of over 60 years, our extensive network of skating clubs and schools in 30 communities across the province is committed to delivering top-quality, nationally standardized learn-to-skate, power skating and figure skating programs. Our skating programs are led by Skate Canada professional coaches certified through the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP). We provide development and competitive opportunities for approximately 5,000 participants including recreational, adaptive and competitive skaters, coaches, officials and volunteers.
At Skate NL, our priority is to provide and support a positive experience for all participants in an environment that inspires everyone to experience the joy of skating. We achieve this by delivering high-quality skating programs and events that prioritize skill development, fun, inclusivity, personal growth and wellness.
